Silsila: white and navy tees laid out, the embroidered bands along the shoulders

Silsila

Chain, lineage, an unbroken continuation

Released
August 2026

The pieces

Chain. Lineage. The thing that doesn't break.

Two colourways, White and Navy, embroidered by hand in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Silsila means a chain, an unbroken line.

For generations, this cross-stitch has edged caps, collars, shawls and sleeves in Gilgit-Baltistan. Women artisans there still stitch it by hand, counting one stitch at a time. Nothing is printed.

On this tee, the band no longer stops at the edge. It runs from shoulder to cuff without a break, an old line carried from the mountains to wherever you wear it.

Tees stitched in Lahore. Motifs embroidered in the North.

The campaign

  • Silsila navy and white, hanging together
  • Three Silsila tees laid flat, white, navy and white, the embroidered bands across the shoulders
  • Hands stitching the Silsila band: green, with red, yellow and blue motifs, on white
